About the Author
Tamara Lizette Brown, PhD, is an associate professor of history and director of women's studies in the Department of History & Government at Bowie State University, and a former cultural historian with the Smithsonian Institution.
Baruti N. Kopano, PhD, is an associate professor and departmental chair within the School of Global Journalism and Communication at Morgan State University. Prior to joining the Morgan faculty, he was an associate professor of mass communications and co-director of the Black Studies Program at Delaware State University.

FINALLY, someone did it!!!!!! I am elated to know that someone has finally tackled this subject. We are tired of our culture being RIPPED off. Finally, thank you Baruti for tackling this subject.
I highly recommend this book. We as Black people must do all we can to preserve the cultures we have forged out of blood, sweat and tears.
