We've been here before...

Koppell's edited book provides a fascinating set of historical settings where shareholder advocacy reigned reminding us that "everything old is new again." We're tempted to believe that today's environment of shareholder advocacy is new and while technology certainly is, corporations have been dealing with advocacy since they were created. I highly recommend for governance scholars but anyone interested in corporate history will benefit from reading it.
